This blog is dedicated to all sorts of themes, games, favors, finger food meal plans and a bunch of other topics related to creating great baby showers.
Sometimes however, we don’t want a specific theme or plan for our baby showers. We just want something informal that is both fun and entertaining for the mom-to-be and the guests.
That’s cool, some people are really into creating baby showers and some people aren’t.
There’s nothing wrong with being informal when it comes to the shower your hosting. That’s why in this post I want to tell you about some easy to do decorating tips and tricks that you can quickly implement without any problems.
Decorating ideas you can use
There are tons of things you can do that are affordable and easy to create. Jot these great ideas onto your to do list and let’s get started:
- Get some baby bottles and fill them with flowers or multicolored marbles. Put them around your baby shower venue and use them as vases.
- Use a fishbowl and fill the bottom of it with multicolored marbles then fill it with two thirds of water and put some rubber duckies in the bowl. Now you got yourself a great looking centerpiece for your shower.

Don’t forget to use your local dollar store. It’s amazing all of the great things and items you can use and find at the dollar store. In my opinion, any kind of themed baby shower or informal baby shower can be created without burning a hole in your pocket.
Try not to get stuck on too many ideas at once, keep it simple and restrict yourself. For example; stick to only three games, four kinds of finger foods, a fixed number of guests and so forth…
Don’t kill yourself on creating the best baby shower in the world, make it fun and enjoyable for everybody and keep it simple.

i loved the dollar tree. they have these wonderful little jar candles (I chose blue, having a boy) and the labels peel right off. I used left over labels at my office so no cost. I personalized them by taking a picture of the napkin, put it on the label with the mom and dads name , baby shower and date and put them on the jar candles. They were a big hit and it was something that everyone can and will use…..cost per favor $1.00. Sweet!
I also used the rice krispies with the blank front for writing on from the dollar tree and put a personalized label on that too. Cost per rice krispies personalized .20 cents. they come in a package of 5. They were all gone!!!
