3 Amazing Pink  Zebra Decoration Ideas

Let me give you one piece of advice on throwing this girl’s baby shower. What you want is to have two thirds of all the decorations just black and white, traditional zebra pattern, and the other one third some pink details.

Here are some examples you can use for inspiration.

An amazing diaper crown

I saw the perfect diaper cake alternative today! We’ve all heard about the diaper cake, heck, I even made an entire post on how to make one, but this crown is much easier to make and it just looks amazing.

All you’ve got to do is wrap each diaper in a tubelike form and cover it with some pink and black craft paper. Then, wrap it again in a zebra patterned paper or cloth and some ribbon.

Make your crown form with some more ribbon or you can use a styrofoam crown painted pink.

Attach each of the previously packaged diapers onto your crown. You might want to use safety pins for this step.

And you’re done. You can hang this amazing decoration over a table or you can use it to decorate any wall.

What’s a baby shower without a banner?

As I previously mentioned, the pink and zebra baby shower theme set comes with a printable banner, it spells “Baby Shower” and it’s perfect to decorating your baby shower.

To use it just print the banner on thin, white cardboard and cut along the dotted line. To hang it you can use some safety pins or even clothes pins on a string.

You can also decorate an entire wall

CatchMyParty shared this amazingly simple idea to decorate an entire wall.

All you need is black, zebra and pink ribbon. Attach each strip as high as you want it to go with a pin and twist it. Attach the bottom with another pin. You can do this with as many strips needed, just remember to alternate the colors.

Pink and Zebra Inspired Food

As I often say, the food you offer can often be a huge part of the decoration of your baby shower. I’ve gathered some ideas to boost your inspiration.

Pink Zebra Cake

Even though this cake looks very sophisticated, it’s actually pretty simple to make. You can use any kind of white cake batter, some food coloring, buttercream and some black fondant.

You start by preparing your cake mix and dividing it into 3 separate bowls. One with half the mixture and the other two with one quarter each.

Take one of the smaller bowls and add some pink food coloring and mix well. Tale the other 1/4 cake batter and color it black.

And now to make the pattern. Start by scooping some white batter on the center of your cake pan, then add a scoop of black followed by a scoop of pink and repeat until the cake pan is filled halfway. Bake.

How about these cookies?

Simply Simple Ang shared these amazing pink sugar cookies topped with a single Hershey’s Hugs candy.

The trick to make the cookies is to use a bit of red food coloring instead of using pink, as the pink coloring might bring out more of a salmon color to the cookies.

Once they are baked, let the cookies cool for a bit before you push in the candy on top. They can melt otherwise.

Zebra cups with pink lemonade!

The idea here is pretty simple, keep the drinks for your baby shower themed also. Get some zebra themed cups to serve any drink in.

Some drinks you can offer are: Pink lemonade, raspberry lemonade, strawberry soda, or anything pink really.

Fill Your Baby Shower With Fun and Games

Let’s pin the tail to the donkey ZEBRA!

I can bet you’ve all played pin the tail to the donkey at least once in your life. This is pretty much the same but with two variables.

The first variable, of course, is to change the donkey for a zebra. You can even add some pink stripes to the zebra if you so want.

The second variable is to bring the game up to an adult level. Instead of just spinning around blindfolded, have your guests have a shot first. (Not the expectant mom for obvious reasons)

This classic party game is sure to bring all your guests together and have the time of their lives.

What is a baby zebra called?

One of the prints in the Pink and Zebra Baby Shower Theme set is a baby animals game.

In this game you and your guests should write down the names of the baby animals listed. For example: if the game says “Bear” you should write “cub” next to it. If is says “Dog” you should write down “pup”. You get the picture. :)

You can set a timer and the guest who has the most baby names right, WINS!
