You want to put on a Muppet baby shower and you don’t know where to begin! Luckily, we have some beautiful ideas, images and videos that you can use to help you create this marvelous event.
Kermit, Miss Piggy & Elmo, Oh My!
If you are the baby shower host or if you are the mom-to-be looking for ideas then you found the perfect place!
Decor – this is also easy, first begin like you would any other baby shower with the color pattern. If you are focusing the event around one particular character like Kermit then your color pattern would consist of three different tones of green.
Get balloons and streamers that match your color pattern and decorate your party space with them. I’m sure you can find balloons with Muppet characters on them at big box retailers like Target or Walmart.
Favors – stick to the tried and true method of cellophane bags with treats in them. Put a cute ribbon at the top, tying the bag together. Fill your favor bags with candy that matches your over-all color pattern. So, if you are having an Elmo baby shower then fill it with red m&ms.
Games – take your classic baby shower games and give them a Jim Henson twist. You could get a big poster of your favorite character like Miss Piggy and blind fold your guests. Have your guests pin the snout on the poster. The guest with best accuracy wins!
Note: before the baby shower, cut out and paint a piece of cardboard into the shape of a pig snout.

Food – finger foods are the best kind of savory dish you can serve at any baby shower because they keep your guests mobile and chatty. So stick to:

- pigs in a blanket
- mini burgers
- deviled eggs
- chicken wings
- finger sandwiches

Diaper Cake – design whatever diaper cake you want; be it a three tier cake or the more complex tractor diaper cake then top it off with your favorite Muppet character plush doll. You can get Jim Henson plush dolls at Babies R’ Us or online.
