Decorations – You got the printable banners and they will play a major roll in your decoration efforts in and around your baby shower party space but there are other little things you can do to accentuate the theme even more!
- Potted Plants: place them around your event area to give your shower a jungle safari type of atmosphere.
- Orange & Brown Streamers: stick these little decorative delights on your ceiling and over your main table.
- Jungle BGM: have some jungle background sounds playing during your party. Make sure it’s not on too loud, we want your guests to be able to talk to each other.
Games – You got your bingo printable game but I recommend that you also play one more game that’s a little more physically demanding. This is good to get the party going and to make the atmosphere more lively. Here are two fun giraffe related physical games:
- Giraffe Waddle: giraffes give birth standing up so here is the game you are going to play with your guests. Have them each sit and inflate a balloon. Once the balloon is inflated they have to put it between their legs and waddle to the other side of the room without dropping the balloon. First one to accomplish this wins!
- Pin the Antenna on the Giraffe: instead of a boring old ‘tail’ how about having your guests pin the antennas on a giraffe. Blind fold each guest and spin them around four times, then have them attempt to pin the antennas on a giraffe poster. It’s super simple but tons of fun!
Food – there are many types of dishes you can serve at your baby shower. Try to have your dishes correlate with your theme and also, try to make your dishes portable. It’s a good idea to keep your guests mobile so that they can chit chat with each other. Here are some food ideas that will work perfectly at your baby shower:
- Caramel Pudding (flan)
- Cheddar Cheese Pizza with Crispy Bacon
- Deviled Eggs with Bacon Bits
- Chocolate Cupcakes with Orange Frosting
As you can see, these food ideas are not only easy to prepare but they fit with the giraffe color pattern perfectly!
