Everybody wants a unique baby shower theme and I was no exception. My good friend made me the host and organizer for her upcoming boy baby shower.
I wanted a theme that was orientated around boys but not just any old “blue” color pattern. I wanted the theme to incorporate something from my past and my friend’s past. You see, we grew up in San Pedro Sula in Honduras.
One of our fondest memories we had in Honduras was watching Doraemon in Spanish. I’ve been looking around this site for unique baby shower themes. I finally came up with one combining some of the classic ideas I found on this site and our childhood past.
The Perfect Boy Theme!
Doraemon is perfect for a boy baby shower. Not only is he super cute but his color patterns go well will your classic boy theme. The only problem I had was finding Doraemon goods that I could use. Luckily, I have a cousin who lives in Tokyo, Japan so he could get me all of the Doraemon items I needed for super cheap. He made a little video of his shopping that I just had to post:
My cousin sent me everything I needed to put on this amazing baby shower. Basically, he sent me decor items, favor gifts and some other things I used for the over all atmosphere.
I was amazed by how cheap everything was, my cousin went to a hakuen store which is the equivalent of a dollar store in the states. Before I asked him to buy these items I did a quick check online to see how much they were and I was astonished by how expensive some of the items are!
It Was All Good!
Anyways, the baby shower was great! I used the free printable games from this site. I created a tractor diaper cake with a Doraemon plush doll at the top for the guest of honor and many other things.
I used the little bags above as my favor containers. I filled them up with little blue and red soap balls, the guest absolutely loved them!
I used the bubble dispenser above as a baby shower game. The guest that could create the biggest bubble won the game!
Good Times With Doraemon
Yup, it was an excellent baby shower and everybody had fun! I really enjoyed hosting it and organizing it! I also really appreciate my cousin for helping me out.
