Howdy partner! I hear you wanna throw a cowboy baby shower theme for the little man on the way. Today is your lucky day as I’ll help you do just that! We’ll talk about cowboy decorations, food with an old west twist. Plus, I’m going to share with you some great print games.

I’ve created this amazing printable set to get you started.
Download the printable set here.
Get the invitations ready.
Let’s start at the beginning. You’ve decided to stick to the cowboy theme and have chosen a date for the baby shower; it’s time to send the invitations. Make sure you send them at least one month in advance to make sure everyone can RSVP.

You can get our invitations by clicking the link above. All you have to do is print them onto white card stock paper and fill in the blanks. You can also fill in the blanks with your computer and then print the invitations.
The fun begins with these awesome decorations
Decorations are what makes the difference between a good baby shower and a great baby shower. If you want yours to be great you can follow some (or all) of these tips.
Metal plates and wooden utensils

One of the main decoration focus points in every baby shower is the table, that’s where all the yummy food will be and where all the attention will be held for a good part of the baby shower.
You can begin decorating with the plates. Using metal plates (or plastic plates made to look like metal) will give your table an authentic feel.
Also, using wooden utensils can help get that old western look you want. You can wrap the utensils in cowboy’s bandanas to replace napkins.
Complete the table with some metal buckets and cake.

The metal buckets can, and will, bring your table to life. You can use the labels provided in the printable set to give an extra cute touch to the overall look.
Now, take a look at the cow pattern cake. You can make your own by using your favorite cake mix and covering it with white frosting and later decorating it with black frosting on top. You can also try chocolate flavored frosting for an extra sweetkick.
The old-western twist to a baby shower classic

The diaper cake is a classic for a reason. Every baby needs a ton of diapers and every shower needs decorating.
To help you in the diaper cake making process I’ve created a short video tutorial to show you exactly how you can make your own.
To make the diaper cake cowboy themed, you can decorate it with bandanas, cowboy boots, sheriff stars, horses and horseshoes or anything that might remind you of the old west.
Make your own printable banner

Also, as part of the printable set you get a printable banner featuring a cute baby cowboy on a wooden horse, the blue decorations resemble the classic cowboy bandana design.
To use this banner you should print as many copies as you’ll need on regular copy paper. Don’t forget to cut following the dotted line. You can then, attach the triangles to some string using clothes pins (recommended for the western look and feel) or by using some scotch tape.
This banner is perfect to decorate any area of your baby shower venue.
A guestbook with western style

A while ago I saw this amazing “guest-hat” idea and I think it fits incredibly well with today’s theme. All you really need to make this awesome baby shower guestbook is a smooth cowboy hat and a fine point permanent marker.
Just, let your guests write baby shower wishes on the hat for your child.
NOTE: If you use quick drying markers you can avoid many smudges. ;)
Let’s talk cowboy grub

When it comes to cowboy food, what immediately comes to mind is a great barbecue with different types of meat and corn on the cob. Today, we’ll take it a step further with cow pies!

These cow pies are the tastiest you’ll ever think of trying. Make a big, thin batch of brownies and cut them in irregular circle shapes to resemble cow pies.
This treat might not be for everyone but I believe it’s one worth mentioning.
Unbelievably easy edible chocolate cowboy hats

Get ready for the rodeo with this chocolate snack idea. You’ll need only three ingredients and a bit of patience. They look amazing as a part of your main table!
How To: Take some Belgian chocolate thins and some Rollos and place them as shown in the picture. Now, to glue them together you can use a small, melted chocolate chip.
Rice crispy hay bales

This is how you take a seemingly out of context food item and, with the help of a label like the one in the printable set, you can bring it all together.
How To: To make these cute treats you can buy some rice krispies treats and cut them into small squares. You can also make your own with some butter, marshmallows and rice krispies, of course.
Set them on a plate and label them as “hay bales” and you are done. That was easy, am I right? Enough about food already….
Now let’s talk baby shower games!
Many will agree that baby shower games are the most important part of your event. Everybody gathers around and celebrates the mommy-to-be in an incredibly fun way.
Today I’ll talk about a couple of cowboy themed games I created for you guys.
What’s in mommy’s purse?

We all know that sometimes it can get a little crazy inside a purse, but how crazy exactly? I remember a friend of mine once asked me to call out anything and she’d pull it out of her purse.
I was sure she couldn’t deliver if I asked something impossible so I said “Pull out an elephant”, sure enough she had a toy elephant in there. I couldn’t believe it!
This game will have all your guests trying to guess exactly what is in the mommy-to-be’s purse. Each guest will check off what they think the mommy-to-be has in her purse, then the expectant mother will reveal all the items.
Each correct item earns your guests points and each wrong item deducts points.
NOTE: Remember to have enough pens available for everyone.
Cowboy bingo

Yet another classic with a twist for you guys. This game starts with your guests writing down what they think the mom-to-be will get. The guest that correctly guesses five gifts in a row yells “BINGO” and wins!

So there you have it folks, my cowboy baby shower starter guide. If you think I missed something, please let me know in the comments below. I’m also happy to see your pictures, share ’em with me on any social media platform. I hope you enjoyed this guide. Until next time.
Thanks, I just corrected that! Everything else is free: the banners, labels and invitations..
the games were free and this was a donation site…
Unfortunately, very little people donated and if I want to keep this site running then I’m going to need hosting, a domain, print designers etc… As you can imagine, none of these things are free so I switched to pay only for games site..
now things are better. However, We still have a number of free games, get them here:
